Open Doors - History Festival 2021

This year's History Festival features popular Open Doors events, where audiences peek behind the doors of historic buildings to see areas which are not normally open to the public.

The Museum will be taking tours through the top floor of Port Lincoln's heritage-listed railway station building. In years past the top floor was the headquarters for the South Australian Railways' Port Lincoln Division. Multiple branches of the railway service were housed there, reflecting the wide variety of specialties needed to run a comprehensive railway system.

Join us on a tour of these offices, and discover the activities which kept the railway running across Eyre Peninsula along with an occasional heritage gem.

When: Sunday 23 May 2021.

Tours will run every half hour from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm.

Where: Port Lincoln Railway Museum, Railway Place, Port Lincoln.

Cost: $5 per person, or $10 for a family (two adults and two children).

Bookings are essential, as numbers on each tour are strictly limited. To book, please email treasurer@eprps.org.au or phone 0417 401 364. Payment on the day at the Railway Museum counter (EFTPOS available).

Please note: tour participants will need to negotiate two flights of stairs, as no lift is available.
